This Ribbon of Roses Applique Quilt with Border measures 102 x 115 inches  to fit your King or Queen bed.  It was hand quilted with approximately 6 handquilted stitches per inch on this Ribbon of Roses Amish Quilt.  There is an abundance of handquilting around the central motif, displaying the great care and artwork of the quilter.  A light creamy white background sets the rich burgundy and blue flowers off beautifully in this wreath of roses and hearts. There are also little red berries embroidered off the trailing vine. 

The Amish women love their gardens, and often you will see flowers intersperced between the vegetables, but rarely do you see roses, except an ocassional bush of trailing roses resting on a fence row.  The Amish quilters do decorate their quilts with roses though, and in the midst of all this intricate stitching and handquilting, the beauty of roses blooms and lasts for generations.
