The title of the quilt is Country Reminisce Hitch, Maine to California 1893. The horses are getting ready to pull the wagon from the falling oak leaves of Maine, to the trees and sunshine of California. Flocks of birds are fluttering over the horses and wagon  which are all travelling west. There are waves quilted under the horse and wagon scene. Around the border are Good Luck horseshoe wreaths filled with flowers, and birds with ribbons and flower are also around the border. If you look carefully, you can see a small lantern hand quilted on the side of the wagon.
