Beautifully handquilted, this predominately plum and purple Peacock Quilt is from the heart of Pennsylvania Dutch, Lancaster County PA.
The stately Peacock is a favorite subject for the Amish Quilter, and is often seen strutting his plume around the farmyard, where they roam freely, coming home to roost in their coop in the evening. Note how the two Peacocks are slightly different in size and length of tail!
