This large King Starburst Patchwork Amish Quilt is a handquilted masterpiece in a variety of burgundys and navy fabrics, and measures approximately 105x113 inches to fit your King size bed. The light cream fabric is used for the front and back of this Large King Starburst Amish Quilt, and the edges are scalloped. There are approximately 6 handquilted stitches per inch.
Set in the hollow between two hills, at the end of a long winding and bumpy road, is the house that the Amish Quilter grew up in, and now shares with her son and his family. She and her husband live in the Dawdy house, the smaller dwelling attached to the side of the homestead. Her son has taken over their woodworking business, and this has left more time to do what she loves, cook slippery pot pies for her grandchildren, and quilt. Her husband made the quilt frame for her years ago, and it has probably never been empty since! The Amish Quilter loves to quilt, and her great eye for color and beautiful small, even stitches make an heirloom that will last for years.
