This Grandmas Scrap Log Cabin Patchwork Amish Quilt is almost square, measuring approximately 106 x 109 inches to fit your large King size bed or your Platform bed. The choice of fabrics for the many different logs makes this quilt appear like a grandmom who has a large stash of flowered calico fabrics created it, and Lizzie S is the grandma that stitched and hand quilted this delightful quilt. Lizzie S is an Amish Quilter who lives just over the mountain from us. Lizzie lives on the side of the hill, and to get to her front door you have to walk a gang plank that spans over her small garden. Lizzie quilts to help make ends meet. Her husband has been disabled from a surgery problem, and with no insurance and not willing to sue, Lizzie quilts wonderful treasures and sews tops for other quilters to use. I just love the binding, and how it is also made from scraps, blending the binding right into the varied logs of the quilt.
