It was handquilted with french provencial blues, and is from Lancaster County, the heart of the Pennsylvania Dutch, where the Old Order Mennonite and Amish women spend their winter hours quilting and visiting with family and friends. The Glorious Grapes Applique Amish Quilt has approximately 6 handquilted stitches per inch. Various shades of blues create the lucious grapes, with green embroidered tendrills trailing from them, and the stems of the grapes are all hand embroidered. Wonderful choice of fabrics and handquilting create a bright and beautiful quilt, celebrating the bounty of the vine.
