Double Wedding Ring Patchwork Amish Quilt measures 102 x 116 inches and fits a King or Queen size bed.  Wonderfully handquilted, the piecing and shades of reds and burgundys are delightful on this stunning quilt from Lancaster County PA.  There are approximately  6 handquilted stitches per inch.  Double Wedding Ring Patchwork Amish Quilt  has a light creamy ivory background, with various shades of red in the intertwined wedding rings. 

Please note:   The vibrant red colors on this quilt are stunning, but they may not be colorfast, and may bleed if you wash it.  It would be best to contact your Professional Dry Cleaner for advice on cleaning it, or just do spot-cleaning and airing when necessary.

In Lancaster County and in the surrounding counties in Pennsylvania, there are communities of Mennonite who are Old Order, which means that they do not drive automobiles.  Located in this Old Order community, there are many carriage shops (to repair buggies), men wearing broadfall black trousers and women with solid colored dresses of purple and blue are a common sight, and their clean clothes wave in the rural breeze from a clothesline strung high in the backyard on Mondays, their laundry day.
