This Country Grapes Applique Amish Quilt measures 96 x 106 inches, to fit your Queen or Large Double size bed. It was handquilted by Anna K, an Amish Quilter from here in Shippensburg, in Central Pennsylvania where the Old Order Mennonite and Amish women tend their kitchen gardens and enjoy a slower pace of life. Anna K radiates a warmth in her constant smile and her welcoming way. There are always good things cooking in Annas kitchen, and she loves baking as much as she loves quilting. There is a lot of handquilting on this Country Grapes Applique Amish Quilt which has approximately 6-7 handquilted stitches per inch. The plum and lavender colored grapes have green embroidered tendrills trailing from them, and the stems of the grapes are all hand embroidered. The fabric that is on the back is a creamy white with small white flowers on it. This is a bright and beautiful quilt, celebrating the bounty of the vine.
