This Blue Floral Sampler Patchwork Amish Quilt measures 99 x 113 inches to fit a Queen bed, and was handquilted by Anna K, my Amish neighbor, who lives in South Central Pennsylvania.  There are approximately  5-6  handquilted stitches per inch.  This beautiful Sampler Quilt is in bold blue floral prints, with a white on creamy white background fabric.

I love to bake and I love to quilt, says Anna K, an Amish quilter from Pennsylvania.  She and her husband live in the smaller Dawdy house, connected to her sons larger home, and now her husband helps out the son in the home-based business he started years before the son was even born.  Cottage industries  are a chosen lifestyle of the Amish, and Anna helps supplement the family income by quilting everyday.  Her quilt frame is never empty, and her home is always filled with warmth and joy and happy grandchildren.
