This brick and burgundy Bird in a Garden Applique Amish Quilt measures  100 x 112 inches to fit your Queen size bed.  With a light cream fabric for the back and front, the artwork of the PA Dutch Distlefink birds and the different burgundy colored flowers stand out in this garden quilt.  The border is made of connecting tulips.  There are approximately  6-7  handquilted stitches per inch.

The Amish Quilter works in her kitchen garden daily from early spring until late fall, and the beauty of the color and texture presented in orderly rows of scented wonder, help to not only feed her family, but also are a way of decorating the outdoors.  The love of nature and color are the themes held dear by the Amish quilter, a link to a simpler way of life.
