Predominately a warm chocolate brown, with accents of burgundy and ivory, this Barn Window Patchwork Amish Quilt is just magnificent. This stunning and exquisite Amish Quilt measures approximatley 102 x 110 inches to fit your King size bed. This wonderful quilt was handquilted by Fannie P, a wonderful Amish Quilter who lives with her family and also takes care of her aged Grandparents, both of whom are in wheelchairs. Fannie always has a warm welcoming smile, and I am thrilled that she lives just over the mountain from me, here in south central PA. There are approximately 7 handquilted stitches per inch. Pennsylvania has several communities of Old Order Amish scattered throughout the state, where the small one room schoolhouse is just a buggys ride away from home, and the grandchildren come by in the summer to help put up the garden. Family, food, friends and faith are the spokes around which life revolves, and handquilting Amish Quilts is a way to help the family, and be with friends at the same time.
